Luis entered public service in 2015 and served four years as a Graphic Artist in the Public Relations Division at the Virgin Islands Department of Education’s – Division of Public Relations. His musical talents of singing and songwriting in the Calypso genre earned him the coveted title of St. Luis’ creative prowess was not solely on display in his work, but also throughout the community. As a result of his entrepreneurship, Luis was awarded several advertising awards for his art, advertising concepts, and jingles for companies, including Guardian Insurance, Cruzan Rum, and others. In this role, Luis conceptualized ad campaigns for clients, developed special promotional sections of the paper, and marketed the paper to the public.Īfter 12 years, at the newspaper, Luis started Flair Magazine, a Virgin Islands life and style monthly and Creative Arts & Design Studio, to produce artwork, advertisements, and other promotional material for businesses throughout the USVI. ![]() Within two years of rapid growth and increasing responsibilities, he was offered and accepted the role of Creative Services Manager in the newspaper’s Advertising Department.
